MyelinMed Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and MyelinMed. They cover your use of myelinmed.com.au and everything on it. We've tried to write them in plain English. If something is unclear, email us at support@myelinmed.com.au and we'll explain it.
Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or, if you live in New Zealand, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986. Where these terms seem to say otherwise, the law wins.
1. Who we are
MyelinMed is a sole trader business based in Queensland, Australia (ABN 18 590 380 772). "We", "us" and "our" mean MyelinMed. "You" means the person who holds the account.
MyelinMed is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with UCAT ANZ, the UCAT Consortium or Pearson VUE. "UCAT" is used only to describe the test our practice material prepares you for. Every question on MyelinMed is our own original work. None is an official UCAT question.
2. Who can use MyelinMed
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to use MyelinMed, and a parent or guardian should make or approve any purchase. By creating an account you confirm you have that permission.
- Parents and guardians: if you let your child use MyelinMed, you accept these terms on their behalf and are responsible for any purchase you make or approve. If your child bought access without your permission, see our Refund Policy.
3. Your account
- An account is for one person. You can't share your login, sell it or let anyone else use it.
- You can only be logged in on one device at a time. Logging in somewhere new signs out your other session. This is part of how we keep accounts from being shared.
- Keep your password to yourself. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
- Give us a real email address that you check. We use it for account emails, receipts and important notices.
4. The free trial
- The free trial is a set of practice questions you can use without paying and without a card.
- The trial is limited by questions, not time. It does not include mock exams, and it may not include every feature.
- We can change what the trial includes. That won't affect anything you've paid for.
5. Plans and payment
5.1 Cohort plans (the main plan)
- You buy access for the year you're sitting the UCAT (your "cohort"). You pay once. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.
- Access ends at the end of 30 September of your cohort year (Brisbane time). The exact date is shown before you pay and on your receipt.
- The price depends on how far away your cohort year is: the nearest cohort on sale costs the least, and each year further out costs more, because you get more months of access. Prices on the pricing page are the prices you pay.
- Cohort plans for a given year stop being sold on 31 July of that year.
- Prices for future cohorts step down over time (usually on 30 November each year) as those cohorts get closer. If the price drops after you buy, we don't refund the difference. You paid for a longer period of access than a later buyer gets.
- Choose your cohort year carefully. Once you've bought a cohort you can't switch it to a different year, earlier or later. If you're not sure which year you'll sit, email us before you buy.
- A cohort plan includes the full question bank, all mock exams, full analytics and the game features (streaks, myelin, your neuron, achievements, quests and leagues).
5.2 One-month plan
- One-month access costs a single payment and lasts one calendar month from the moment you buy it. It doesn't renew.
- It includes the question bank, mock exams and analytics. It doesn't include the game features, friend leagues or emailed progress reports.
- You can't buy a one-month plan while you have any active access. It goes back on sale the moment your access ends.
5.3 Payment
- All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD). MyelinMed is not registered for GST, so no GST is charged.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- If your bank charges a currency conversion or international fee, that's between you and your bank.
- Access starts once Stripe confirms your payment, which is usually within a few seconds.
5.4 Price and plan changes
We may change our prices, plans or what they include for future purchases. Changes never affect a plan you've already paid for, other than as set out in section 12.
6. Referrals
- If a friend who already has an account gives you their referral code, you may get a discount on your first purchase (currently $20 off a cohort plan or $10 off the one-month plan). If a discount applies, you'll see it at checkout before you pay.
- Each account can have at most two successful referrals, ever. Once someone has referred two people who paid, their code stops giving discounts. If that happens between when you enter a code and when you pay, we'll tell you before you pay.
- A person who refers two people who pay unlocks a cosmetic neuron colour scheme. Referral rewards have no cash value and can't be transferred.
- You can't refer yourself, create extra accounts to earn rewards, or post your code anywhere that treats it as spam. We can cancel rewards or discounts gained this way.
- If a referred purchase is refunded, it no longer counts as a successful referral. A cosmetic reward that has already been unlocked stays.
7. Emailed progress reports
Cohort plan holders can choose to have progress reports (a summary email with a PDF) sent to themselves and to other people, such as a parent, guardian or tutor.
- Only add someone's email address if they've agreed to get your reports. Every address you add must confirm by email before it gets anything, and every report includes a link to unsubscribe.
- Reports include your first name, the questions you've answered, your accuracy, your trends and your mock exam results. Anyone you add will see this, so only add people you're comfortable sharing it with.
- You can remove a recipient or turn reports off at any time. Reports stop automatically when your access ends, after a final summary.
8. Leagues, display names and your neuron's name
- Leagues and study links show other students a generated display name (a pseudonym) and your neuron. Your real name and email are never shown to other students.
- You can choose to show your neuron's name instead of your pseudonym. If you do, it must not be offensive, hateful, sexual, impersonate anyone, or include personal details such as a real name, school, phone number or social media handle. We can reset any name that breaks this rule and take the feature away from anyone who keeps doing it.
- You can leave leagues at any time from your account.
- League positions are for motivation. They aren't a prediction of your UCAT result.
9. Using MyelinMed fairly
You agree not to:
- copy, screenshot in bulk, record, download, scrape, publish, sell or share our questions, explanations, passages, diagrams or mock exams, including in study groups, tutoring businesses, social media or other prep products;
- use bots, scripts or any automated tool to access MyelinMed, or collect data from it;
- use our content to train, fine-tune or test an AI model;
- try to get around access limits, the single-login rule or the free-trial limits, or get into parts of the site or other people's accounts you're not allowed into;
- probe, overload or interfere with the site's security or operation, or reverse-engineer it;
- manipulate leagues, streaks or other game features by misusing the site;
- harass other students or use any display name to do so;
- break any law while using MyelinMed.
Security researchers who find a vulnerability: please email us instead of testing it further. We'll thank you.
10. Our content
- Everything on MyelinMed (questions, explanations, passages, diagrams, mock exams, the neuron artwork, software, design and brand) belongs to us or our licensors, and is protected by copyright and other laws.
- While your access is active, we give you a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial licence to use it for your own UCAT preparation. You get nothing else.
- MyelinMed and the MM logo are our brand. "UCAT" and related marks belong to their owners. We use them only to describe the test.
11. What MyelinMed is, and what it isn't
- MyelinMed is a practice and study tool. We don't promise any particular UCAT score, offer or admission result. Your result depends on you and on a test we don't run.
- Our marks are raw scores and percentages from our own questions. They aren't official UCAT scaled scores and can't be converted into one.
- Our questions are written to resemble the style and difficulty of the real test as closely as we can, but the real test may differ.
- We work hard to make every question and explanation correct. If you think one is wrong, email us and we'll review it.
- UCAT dates, formats and rules are set by UCAT ANZ. Any date or format information we show (such as a countdown) is for convenience. Always check the official UCAT ANZ website for anything that matters.
12. Keeping the service running
- We aim to keep MyelinMed available at all times, but it may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, updates or problems outside our control. We'll try to schedule planned maintenance at quiet times.
- We keep improving MyelinMed and may change, add or remove features. We won't make a change that substantially reduces what a paid plan includes while your access is active. If a change like that is ever unavoidable, we'll tell you first and offer you a pro-rata refund for the rest of your access.
- If we ever have to close MyelinMed permanently, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice where we can, and refund the unused part of any paid access.
13. Your consumer rights
Our services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For a major failure, you're entitled to cancel and get a refund for the unused part, or to compensation for its reduced value. You're also entitled to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If a failure doesn't amount to a major failure, you're entitled to have it fixed within a reasonable time. If that isn't done, you can get a refund for the unused part.
If you're in New Zealand, you have similar rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
Our Refund Policy explains how this works in practice.
14. Limits on our liability
- Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can't be excluded.
- Subject to that, we're not liable for loss that wasn't reasonably foreseeable, or for losses such as a missed university offer, a lower-than-hoped test result, or lost opportunities. Many things outside our control affect these outcomes.
- Subject to that, if we're liable to you for something to do with MyelinMed, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for anything we can't legally limit, such as fraud, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
15. Suspending or closing an account
- You can stop using MyelinMed at any time. To delete your account, see our Privacy Policy. Stopping or deleting doesn't by itself entitle you to a refund. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are unaffected.
- We can suspend or close an account if its holder seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, for example by sharing their login or copying our content. Unless the breach is serious or urgent, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix it. If we close an account for a breach, we don't have to refund it. If we close an account for any other reason, we'll refund the unused part of any paid access.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. If a change could disadvantage you, we'll email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you don't agree to a change that materially disadvantages you during paid access, you can tell us before it takes effect, and we'll close your account and refund the unused part of your access. Changes never apply to anything that happened before they took effect. The date at the top shows when these terms were last updated.
17. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information. It is part of these terms.
18. Problems and complaints
If something's wrong, email support@myelinmed.com.au. We aim to reply within 2 business days and to resolve most issues within 10 business days. If you're not happy with our response, you can contact your state or territory's consumer protection agency (in Queensland, the Office of Fair Trading), or Consumer Protection in New Zealand.
19. General
- These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You and we both submit to the courts of Queensland and the courts that can hear appeals from them. If you live elsewhere in Australia or in New Zealand, you keep the protection of the consumer laws where you live.
- If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- We can transfer this agreement to someone who takes over MyelinMed, as long as your rights under it aren't reduced. We'll tell you if that happens.
- These terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about MyelinMed.
