How much does the UCAT ANZ cost?

In 2026 the test cost A$335 when sat in Australia or New Zealand, or A$240 with a concession. The 2027 fees were not published when this page was last checked. We will update this page when they are.

All fees are in Australian dollars and are paid by card when you book. Late fees are not refunded. The payment is taken by a company in the United States, so your bank may add an international transaction charge.

Who can get the concession fee?

You qualify if you hold, or are listed as a dependant on, a current Australian Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card issued by Centrelink.

No other evidence of financial hardship is considered, and the concession is not available to candidates sitting the test outside Australia.

How do you apply for the concession?

Step 1. Create a Pearson account and note your UCAT ANZ ID number.
Step 2. Complete the concession form on the official website, with a copy of both sides of your card.
Step 3. Receive a voucher code by email, in about 3 business days.
Step 4. Enter the code on the payment page when you book.

Apply before you book. The concession deadline is earlier than the booking deadline, and no application is accepted after it.

Deadlines fall at 11:59 pm Australian Eastern Standard Time. No exceptions are made to them.

When are the 2027 dates?

They were not published when this page was last checked, and we will update this page when they are. In 2024, 2025 and 2026 testing began on 1 July. Check the official website for the 2027 dates before you plan around any of the dates above.

When should you book?

Early in the booking period. Test centres fill, and later in the window there are fewer dates and you may need to travel further.

The official advice is to book a test date in July. If you book a date near the end of testing and then fall ill, there may be no appointment left to move to.

Can you change or cancel a booking?

Cancel after that	Allowed, with no refund
Reschedule	Free until 29 June, then A$25. Allowed up to 24 hours before your appointment
Rebook after missing a test	You pay the standard test fee again

Rescheduling and cancelling are done in your Pearson account, not by email. The rescheduling rule applies whatever the reason, illness included.

How many times can you sit the test?

Once in a year. Sitting it more than once in the same year is treated as misconduct.
